Chinggis Gate

The homeland of the Chinggis khaan and montherland of Green Mongols empire has been Khentii province is one of the oldest provinces of our country was founded in 1923. The northern point of the province is Valley of Balj river of Dadal soum, the southern point is end of Khuts River as right input of Kherlen river, the eastern point is Batkhaan Mount of Kherlen in territory of Bayan – ovoo soum, the highest point is Khan Khentii mountain as branch of Khentii mountain as branch of Khentii mountain range (2362 meters) and the lowest point of the province is and of Kherlen river. Center of the province at a distance of 330 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.

Burkhan Khaldun Mountain

It is located in the beginning of Bogd River, the west branch of Kherlen River, in Omnodelger soum of Khentiy province, at 2362 meter above sea level. This mountain is the hearth land of Mongolian ancestor’s history. According to the first paragraphs of “Secret History of the Mongols”, ancestors of Chinggis khaan were lived and Urianghan people were sacrificed the Burkhan Khal-dun Mountain during X century. He was descended from Borte Chino, whose name means grayish white wolf and Qo-ai maral, the wolf’s spouse, wrote name means beautiful doe who crossed the lake and settled at the source of the Onon River at Burqan Qaldum, where Batachi-qan was born to them”. Khar zurkhny Khukh lake

Natural and historic beautiful lake located in 220 km from Ulaanbaatar, 93 km east from Baganuur city, in Tsenkhermandal soum of Khentiy province. This is the fresh water lake which located on 1675 meter above at sea level. According to the, Mongolian historic source “Secret history of the Mongols”, after escaped from Taichuud tribe, Temujin (Chinggis khaan) was lived in frond of Burkhan Mountain, Khar Zurkhny Khonk Nuur lake of Senggur Stream. Three years later Jamukha, best friend of Temujin moved away from him and Altan, Quchar, and Sacha-beki after reaching an agreement, and naming Temujin “Chinggis khaan” they made his khaan.

Hunnu Tombs at Duurlig Nars

There are approximately 300 Xiongnu aristocratic tombs in the pine hillside of Khentiy province. These tombs are famous as Duurlig Nars tombs. By the result of these excavations, horse equipment’s, gold decorations of coffin, bronze and iron pot and label, and iron filter are discovered and many new information about Xiongnu aristocratic tomb structure found.

Baldan Bereeven Monastery

There is Baldan Vraibun monastery as White Utai and Gumbum of the Northern Khalkh Mongolia in Khuree Gurvan Jargalant with natural beautiful landscape in territory of Bayanzurkh bagh, Umnudelger soum, Khentii province. Baldan Vreibun monastery is one of five big monasteries in not only Setsen Khan Aimag but also in the northern Khalkh Mongolia.

Mongol Queen Palace

There established the Mongol Queen Palace of Respect on Duurilig Nars mound in Bayn-Adarga soum of Khentiy province, the land of wise queens of Mongolian Statehood history, in 2011. Dondogdulam and Genenpil, last queens of Bogd Javzandamba king of Mongolia were grew up in this land. The palace built by the ancient “bogtag” women hat shape and 4 bigger stupas and 9 white gers around the palace. There placed head chair of the queens in the north center of the place and statues of historic queens as Alangua (female ancestor of Chinggis khaan), Oelun (mother of Chinggis khaan), Borte (legan consort of Chinggis khaan), Sorkhagttani, Dorhen, Manduhai, Khandjamts, Anu, Dondogdulan and Genenpill. 9 white spirits of Chinggis khaan placed in the middle of the place.
